How we teach Economics
Cambridge IGCSE Economics (0455) is where most students meet the subject for the first time, and it builds quickly — from the basic problem of scarcity all the way to exchange rates and economic development. Our teaching keeps pace with that climb while making sure the foundations are solid before the harder material arrives.
Microeconomics comes first: demand and supply, the price mechanism, elasticities and market failure, taught with the local and global examples that make abstract ideas stick. From there the course opens onto the macro picture — national income, aggregate demand and supply, fiscal and monetary policy, and international trade — where students learn to analyse real economic problems the way the exam expects.
Classes are live and small, with the steady feedback that helps a first-time economist build both the vocabulary and the structured-answer habits the qualification demands.
