How we teach Psychology
Cambridge A Level Psychology (9990) approaches the mind scientifically — grounding students in research methods and the major psychological approaches, then applying them to real studies and specialist topics. Our teaching builds both the evidence-based mindset and the exam skills the course rewards.
Students develop a firm grasp of research methods and statistics alongside the biological, cognitive, learning and social approaches, before exploring psychopathology, individual differences and the key debates that run through the subject. Across AS and A2 the papers reward accurate knowledge of studies and the ability to evaluate them, so we practise describing research precisely and assessing its strengths and limitations.
Classes are live and small, with detailed feedback on both the recall of evidence and the critical evaluation that lifts an answer.
