How we teach Biology
AQA A Level Biology (7402) takes the linear path — three written papers at the end of two years, each able to reach across the whole specification and into the practical skills built up along the way. That makes connected, synoptic understanding the goal, and our teaching is designed to develop it.
Rather than leaving topics in silos, we tie them together: how the structure of biological molecules explains enzyme action, how membrane transport links to gas exchange and the circulatory system, how genetics and protein synthesis feed into inheritance and evolution. The required practicals are treated as genuine investigations, since the techniques and the thinking behind them surface directly in the written papers.
Lessons are live, small-group and heavy on application, building the recall and exam stamina a linear assessment demands.
