How we teach Business
Cambridge IGCSE Business (0264) opens up how organisations actually work — why they exist, how they market and finance themselves, and how they manage people and operations. For many students it is a first taste of commercial thinking, and we teach it to spark genuine interest, not just exam readiness.
Note on the syllabus change: 0264 is the revised syllabus, first examined in 2027. It replaces Business Studies 0450, whose final series is November 2026. If your child sits in 2026 they remain on 0450; anyone starting now will sit 0264. We teach both, and we will tell you which applies to your child before you enrol.
The syllabus moves from business activity and forms of organisation through marketing, operations and HR into finance and the external environment. There is no multiple-choice paper and no tiering — every candidate sits the same two papers, one built on short answers and data response, the other on a case study supplied with the paper. Both reward students who can apply ideas to a given business and explain their reasoning, and the revised syllabus pushes that further: application now carries more marks than before. It also adds technology and sustainability in production, and digital communication in the people topics.
Sessions are live and small, giving every student space to connect the syllabus to businesses they already know.
