How we teach Law
AQA A Level Law (7162) is examined through three linear written papers and is, at heart, about applying legal rules to real situations — taking a set of facts and reasoning to a defensible legal outcome. Developing that disciplined application is the focus of our teaching.
The specification runs from the nature of law and the English legal system through criminal law, the law of tort, and contract law, into constitutional, administrative and human rights law. Because the papers reward precise application and clear evaluation rather than recitation, we drill the disciplined sequence of issue, rule, application and conclusion, and the critical commentary the higher marks demand.
Lessons are live, capped small, and built around scenario and essay practice, with close feedback on legal reasoning and structure.
