How we teach Psychology
AQA A Level Psychology (7182) is one of the most research-driven A Levels there is — students learn studies, theories and methods in depth and are examined on them across three written papers that prize evaluation as much as knowledge. Our teaching is built to develop that analytical edge.
The course covers research methods and statistics alongside memory, social influence, attachment, psychopathology and the biological basis of behaviour, plus the issues and debates that tie the subject together. Because the papers reward applying and evaluating research rather than merely recalling it, we drill the skill of weighing evidence — methodology, competing explanations and real-world relevance.
Lessons are live, capped small, and built around essay and application practice, with close feedback on argument and structure.
