How we teach Law
Cambridge A Level Law (9084) opens up the English legal system from the inside — how laws are made and interpreted, how the courts work, and how the core areas of criminal, contract and tort law actually operate. Our teaching builds both solid legal knowledge and the reasoning a strong answer depends on.
Students study the nature and sources of law and precedent before moving into substantive areas: criminal liability with its actus reus and mens rea, negligence and occupiers’ liability in tort, and the formation, terms and breach of contracts, alongside constitutional and human rights law. Across AS and A2 the papers reward accurate legal knowledge applied to scenarios, so we practise identifying the relevant law, applying it precisely, and reaching a reasoned conclusion.
Classes are live and small, with detailed feedback on legal analysis and the structured application that examiners look for.
